Megan Thee Stallion Taken to Hospital on Broadway

Megan Thee Stallion was hospitalised after falling “very ill” during a performance of Moulin Rouge! The Musical in New York City on Tuesday night, 31 March.

The 31-year-old Texas rapper and actor, whose real name is Megan Pete, is making her Broadway debut in the production, portraying Zidler in an eight-week run scheduled to continue until 17 May.

A representative confirmed the incident, stating: “Megan started feeling very ill and was promptly transported to a local hospital, where her symptoms are currently being evaluated. We will share additional updates as more information becomes available.”

Megan’s hairstylist, Kellon Deryck, shared on X (formerly Twitter): “Everyone say a prayer for Megan, we are all at the hospital,” leading to an outpouring of support from fans worldwide. At present, the rapper’s condition remains undisclosed.

Her casting as Zidler has been widely celebrated, as she is the first female-identifying performer to play the role internationally. After her opening night in March, Megan shared her excitement on social media: “So grateful for this incredible cast & crew & everyone who worked so hard to make opening night a success!! HOTTIES IM ON BROADWAY!!”
