Content Creator RS Fahim Arrested

A well-known Bangladeshi content creator, RS Fahim Chowdhury, has been arrested by police following allegations linked to two separate criminal cases. The arrest took place on Sunday afternoon (29 March) amid heightened attention after an earlier detention by a group of students in the capital’s Mirpur area.

According to Assistant Commissioner of Police Imdad Hossain of the Darus Salam Zone, law enforcement acted on existing warrants or case records involving the influencer. He confirmed that Fahim is named in two active cases and was subsequently taken into custody in connection with those legal proceedings.

Prior to the official arrest, RS Fahim was reportedly detained by students near the Dhaka Zoo area in Mirpur earlier in the day. Multiple videos of the incident quickly circulated across social media platforms, drawing widespread public attention and sparking debate online. Eyewitnesses stated that the students intervened due to allegations surrounding Fahim’s controversial activities and his purported stance or involvement in previous student movement-related incidents, which some groups have described as provocative.
