British electronic pop icons Ladytron have announced their eagerly awaited return to North America in 2026, coinciding with the release of their eighth studio album, Paradises. Scheduled for release on 20 March via Nettwerk Records, the album marks a pivotal point in the band’s creative journey, blending rhythmic innovation with cinematic, synth-driven soundscapes.
Following the album release, Ladytron will embark on a short North American tour across five cities in May and June, offering fans a rare opportunity to experience both their classic sound and experimental new material live.
The trio—Helen Marnie, Daniel Hunt, and Mira Aroyo—recently unveiled their latest single and music video, Caught in the Blink of an Eye. Described as a “holiday romance,” the track fuses playful bubblegum-pop hooks with a subtly unrestrained energy, gradually evolving into a mysterious and immersive sonic experience. Directed by Hunt, the video was filmed in São Paulo, Brazil, reflecting the band’s ongoing global artistic reach.
This single continues a recent streak of critically acclaimed releases, including I Believe in You, the techno-noir I See Red, and the ethereal duet Kingdom Undersea.

Paradises is being hailed as Ladytron’s most dance-oriented album since Light & Magic (2002) and a significant creative evolution following Witching Hour (2005). Produced by Daniel Hunt and mixed by Grammy-winning producer Jim Abbiss, the 16-track album draws on influences ranging from tech-primitive and high-priestess disco to spectral soul and Balearic noir. Recording sessions took place across Liverpool, São Paulo, Montrose, Dalston, and Dean Street in London.
Helen Marnie described the studio sessions as “electric from day one, joyful, effortless, and invigorating—it felt like coming home.” Mira Aroyo added, “We wanted to capture the raw energy of early ’90s post-punk, when we had nothing to lose.” Daniel Hunt noted, “Though we began as DJs, we never fully embraced disco—Paradises is the embodiment of that daring spirit.”
With Paradises, Ladytron promises fans vibrant synths, rhythmic innovation, and profound emotional depth, reaffirming their position at the forefront of electronic pop music.
