Iran has reportedly launched another drone attack targeting United States military forces stationed in Kuwait, marking a further escalation in the rapidly intensifying confrontation between Tehran and Washington across the Gulf region.
According to Iranian state-linked media, the strike was directed at the American military installation known as Camp Arifjan, one of the largest US logistical bases in the Middle East. Iranian officials claimed that unmanned aerial vehicles were deployed in the operation, though detailed information regarding the scale of the strike or the extent of damage has not yet been publicly confirmed.
The attack forms part of a broader series of retaliatory operations launched by Iran following recent military strikes on Iranian territory conducted jointly by the United States and Israel. Tehran has vowed to respond forcefully to what it describes as “aggression” against its sovereignty.
Tensions surged dramatically earlier this week when an Iranian drone strike targeted a tactical operations centre at Port Shuaiba in Kuwait, killing six American service members. The Pentagon confirmed the deaths, identifying several of the victims as members of the U.S. Army Reserve’s 103rd Sustainment Command, which specialises in logistics and supply operations.
Satellite imagery later indicated that the facility struck by the drone was a temporary operations centre located within a civilian port complex south of Kuwait City. The building, reportedly a container-style structure used for operational coordination, suffered a direct hit after at least one drone penetrated local air defences.
The strike marked the first confirmed American military fatalities in the latest phase of the Iran-US confrontation.
Iran’s attacks in Kuwait are part of a wider military campaign targeting US and allied facilities across the Gulf. Since late February, multiple drone and missile strikes have reportedly been launched against American installations in Kuwait and neighbouring states.
Kuwaiti and coalition air defences have intercepted a large number of incoming threats, highlighting both the scale of the attacks and the increasing use of unmanned aerial systems in modern warfare. Analysts note that the use of drones enables Iran to strike distant targets while reducing risks to its own forces.
The situation has raised serious concerns about the security of US military bases in the region and the potential for the conflict to widen further.

Kuwait hosts several major American military installations that support US operations throughout the Middle East. Camp Arifjan in particular serves as a critical logistics hub for troop movements, equipment storage and regional command functions.
Because of its strategic role, the country has increasingly become a focal point in the ongoing confrontation between Iran and the United States. Military analysts warn that continued attacks on bases in Kuwait could draw additional regional actors into the conflict and further destabilise an already volatile geopolitical environment.
US defence officials have stated that American forces remain on high alert and that air-defence systems across the region have been reinforced to counter additional drone or missile threats. Meanwhile, diplomatic channels are reportedly being explored by several international powers in an attempt to prevent further escalation.
