The Bangladesh women’s national cricket team has commenced its deployment for the upcoming ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in England. The first travel group, comprising 13 members of the official delegation, departed from Dhaka for London on Sunday night. The remaining 13 personnel are scheduled to leave the country in a final cohort to complete the 26-member squad aggregation.
Before entering the official World Cup group stages, the team will stop over in Scotland to contest a competitive international tri-series against the host nation and the Netherlands.
The preparatory tour in Europe serves as a crucial acclimation period for the squad. The logistical division of the travelling party and the sequence of their preparatory matches are outlined in the table below:
| Project Phase / Event | Operational Unit / Opponent | Geographic Location |
| Initial Travel Group | 13 Roster Members | London, United Kingdom |
| Concluding Travel Group | 13 Roster Members | London, United Kingdom |
| Tri-Series Match 1 | vs Netherlands Women | Scotland |
| Tri-Series Match 2 | vs Scotland Women | Scotland |
| Tri-Series Match 3 | vs Netherlands Women | Scotland |
Before departing from Dhaka, team captain Nigar Sultana Joty reviewed the squad’s technical build-up during an official press conference. She affirmed that the final training blocks conducted at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium provided vital match readiness.
Detailing the split-format nature of their recent training regime, Joty stated:
“The final phase of our preparation in Mirpur was highly impactful. The practice matches and training sessions were excellent. During our build-up for the preceding Sri Lanka series, we had to manage our training parameters to account for both the One-Day International and T20 formats simultaneously.”
While the recent away series against Sri Lanka did not result in series victories for Bangladesh, Joty noted that standout individual performances during the tour provided a timely psychological lift to the camp. The upcoming matches in Scotland will function as the definitive evaluation phase for their tournament strategies.
Emphasising the strategic value of the tri-series, the captain remarked:
“Travelling to Scotland to play this tri-series is a very significant opportunity for us. It presents a clear window to assess how well our team will perform in the World Cup itself, and to establish our definitive pathways for winning matches.”
Upon concluding the tri-series in Scotland, the entire delegation will travel to their official tournament camp to finalise their match preparations for the global event.
