Canadian global superstar Céline Dion has confirmed a highly anticipated return to the stage, marking her first live performances in several years following her diagnosis with Stiff Person Syndrome, a rare neurological disorder that has significantly impacted her mobility and vocal performance.

The singer will headline a 10-night residency at the Paris La Défense Arena during September and October, representing her first concert engagement since her final appearance in Newark, New Jersey, in March 2020. That tour was initially suspended due to the Covid-19 pandemic and later indefinitely halted as she began treatment for her condition.

The announcement coincided with Dion’s 58th birthday and was shared directly with fans through an emotional social media message, in which she described the return to performing as “the best gift of my life.” She added that while excitement was high, she was also experiencing a natural degree of nervousness ahead of the comeback.

Speaking candidly about her health, Dion reassured fans that she has been steadily managing her condition. She noted gradual improvements, including vocal practice and light physical movement, indicating that she is carefully rebuilding her performance capacity under medical supervision.

“I’m doing great, managing my health, feeling good. I’m singing again, even doing a little bit of dancing,” she said, emphasising a cautious but optimistic recovery journey. She also expressed deep gratitude for the continued emotional support she has received from fans around the world during her absence from the stage.

Dion, widely recognised for international classics such as My Heart Will Go On and Because You Loved Me, has remained one of the most influential vocalists of her generation. Her return is expected to draw significant global attention, with strong demand anticipated for tickets.

In order to accommodate her ongoing health needs, the Paris residency has been carefully structured with several rest days between performances. This schedule has been designed to reduce physical strain and ensure she can perform safely while maintaining stamina throughout the series.

Ticketing arrangements are already generating considerable interest. Fans will be able to register via her official channels ahead of the general sale, with registrations opening on 31 March. Tickets are scheduled to go on sale from 7 April, and industry observers expect rapid sell-outs given the scale of anticipation surrounding her return.
