Heeseung, a founding member of the K-pop sensation Enhypen, is leaving the group to embark on a solo career, the band’s management label, Belift Lab, confirmed on Tuesday. The 24-year-old singer will remain with the label and is currently working on his debut solo album. Enhypen will continue its activities with the six remaining members: Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, Jungwon, and Ni-Ki.
Belift Lab shared the news on social media, emphasising that the decision followed “in-depth discussions with each of the members about the future they envision and the direction of the team.” The statement noted:
“It became clear that HEESEUNG has his own distinct musical vision, and we have decided to respect it. This decision comes after extensive deliberation, and we hope fans understand that it was made with the future of ENHYPEN and HEESEUNG in mind.”
Heeseung, who rose to fame through the 2020 South Korean reality competition series “I-Land”, expressed his gratitude to his bandmates and fans, collectively known as Engenes, via a post on Weverse. He reflected on his six years with the group as “overwhelmingly meaningful and incredibly precious” and promised to continue supporting Enhypen as a dedicated fan.
“The past six years have been filled with moments that are difficult to put into words. Those memories will remain some of the most shining and unforgettable moments of my life,” he wrote.
He explained that his departure was motivated by a desire to pursue his personal artistic vision while respecting the group’s collective ambitions. He added that he is working diligently on his solo project and hopes to return to fans “as an even better version” of himself.
The remaining members of Enhypen also acknowledged Heeseung’s decision on social media, expressing their respect and support:
“We respect and support Heeseung’s choice and new start. We at ENHYPEN will continue to grow and become stronger, cherishing every moment.”
| Member Name | Role in Group | Notes |

| Sunghoon | Dancer, Vocalist | Known for performance skills |

Heeseung’s departure marks the end of an era for Enhypen fans, but both the singer and the group have pledged to maintain a positive, supportive relationship as they continue on separate paths in the K-pop industry.
