Priyanka Chopra and Mahesh Babu’s New Film Boasts a Billion-Dollar Budget

Audiences are buzzing with excitement over SS Rajamouli’s next cinematic venture, ‘SSMB 29’, following the massive successes of Baahubali and RRR.

The film unites South Indian superstar Mahesh Babu, Bollywood icon Priyanka Chopra, and Malayalam sensation Prithviraj Sukumaran in lead roles.

 

The mahurat ceremony has already been completed, and a significant portion of the movie has been shot in Kenya. The production utilised Africa’s most picturesque locations including:

  • Maasai Mara
  • Lake Naivasha
  • Samburu
  • Mount Kilimanjaro
  • Amboseli

During the shoot, director SS Rajamouli met with Kenya’s Cabinet Secretary and Foreign Minister Musalia Mudavadi, sharing photos of the meeting on social media. He also revealed that the film is set for release in 120 countries.

 

Kenyan media reports indicate that the budget for ‘SSMB 29’ is approximately USD 135 million, equivalent to around ₹1,188 crore, making it one of the largest-budget films in Asian cinema history.

The principal photography, which began in April, extensively utilised Africa’s scenic landscapes for crucial sequences, promising grand visuals.

 

Rumours suggest that ‘SSMB 29’ may be released in two parts, although the filmmakers have not yet made an official announcement.

Fans are eagerly counting the days to witness the on-screen pairing of Priyanka Chopra and Mahesh Babu, anticipating a spectacular cinematic experience.
