Rashid Khan Confirms He Married Again

Published: 11 Nov 2025, 06:12 pm

Afghan cricket star Rashid Khan has confirmed that he married a woman three months ago, following months of speculation. Recently, the leg-spinner was spotted at a charity event with a woman, sparking rumours across social media. However, in a post on Instagram last night, Rashid set the record straight by revealing that the woman is, in fact, his wife.

In his Instagram post, Rashid shared the news with his followers: "On August 2, 2025, I began a new and meaningful chapter of my life. I married a woman who represents love, peace, and partnership – everything I’ve always hoped for."

Rashid continued, "I recently took my wife to a charity event, and unfortunately, something so simple has sparked a lot of speculation. The truth is very simple – she is my wife, and we are together. There’s nothing to hide. I want to thank everyone who has shown kindness and understanding towards us."

While Rashid did not specifically mention that this is his second marriage in his post, multiple media outlets, including Pakistan's Dunya News, have confirmed that this is his second wedding.

Rashid's first marriage took place last October in Kabul, where he and his three brothers – Amir Khalil, Zakirullah, and Raja Khan – all got married on the same day. The ceremony was held at the Imperial Continental Hotel in the capital city.

The event was attended by several Afghan cricket stars, including Mohammad Nabi, Mujeeb-ur-Rehman, Azmatullah Omarzai, Najibullah Zadran, Rahmat Shah, Fazalhaq Farooqi, and even the Chairman of the Afghanistan Cricket Board, Mirwaiz Ashraf, as well as the CEO, Naseeb Khan.
