Shakib Khan Sends Best Wishes to Saif Hassan Ahead of Abu Dhabi T10!

Published: 16 Nov 2025, 07:35 pm

Bangladesh opener Saif Hassan is set to represent the Aspin Stallions in the upcoming Abu Dhabi T10 League. Fresh from a stellar run in the Asia Cup, as well as series against Afghanistan and West Indies, Saif is now ready to take his talents to the international franchise stage.

Having received the necessary NOC from the BCB, Saif will leave Dhaka tonight for Abu Dhabi. Alongside him, Bangladesh will also be represented by pace bowler Taskin Ahmed and spinner Mustafizur Rahman.

Even before the T10 tournament began, Dhallywood superstar Shakib Khan, who also owns the Dhaka Capitals franchise in the BPL, sent his best wishes to Saif on the day he signed his contract. Saif shared:
"We spoke on the signing day, he wished me well. I hope to do something special in the tournament."

Saif’s Form and Preparation

Saif has been in red-hot form, scoring 178 runs at a strike rate of 128.06 in four innings during the Asia Cup, the highest among Bangladesh players. He continued his fine form in the Afghanistan and West Indies series.

Speaking about his preparation and mindset, Saif said:
"I’ve been playing several recent tournaments, Alhamdulillah. I participated in two global tournaments and have been regular in the BPL. All these matches are helping me stay prepared. The more I play, the more experience I gain. I try to focus on my process and trust that my hard work will pay off."

BCB and NOC

Saif expressed gratitude to the Bangladesh Cricket Board:
"Thanks to BCB for granting my NOC. I won’t be able to play the full tournament due to the Ireland series, so they provided a half NOC. This will be a good practice opportunity for me. Taskin has already left, and Rishad will play the Big Bash."
