The Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) election is set to take place tomorrow, Tuesday, 9 September. To ensure transparency in the counting process, the university authorities have announced that LED screens will be installed outside every polling centre, displaying the live counting of votes being conducted inside.
On Sunday (7 August) night, this decision was formally confirmed in a notice signed by Professor Dr Mohammad Jasim Uddin, the Chief Returning Officer for the DUCSU election.
According to the notice, the vote counting for both the DUCSU and the hall union elections 2025 will be broadcast live on LED screens outside each polling centre.
As per the official timetable, voting will be held on 9 September, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, across eight polling centres on the university campus.
Each voter will be required to cast a total of 41 votes:
The total number of voters in this year’s DUCSU election stands at 39,874 students, comprising:
