The Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur has long been one of Bangladesh’s premier home venues. While international matches now occur in other cities as well, for many years most fixtures were hosted at Mirpur. Thanks to this consistency, Bangladesh holds the record for the most T20 International wins at a single venue. Now, Afghanistan has joined this elite list with a remarkable feat.

Bangladesh and Afghanistan’s T20 Records at a Single Venue

  • Bangladesh – Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium: 48 matches, 24 wins
  • Afghanistan – Sharjah Cricket Stadium: 29 matches, 20 wins
  • Pakistan – Dubai International Cricket Stadium: 32 matches, 18 wins
  • Pakistan – Lahore Gaddafi Stadium: 26 matches, 16 wins
  • South Africa – Johannesburg Wanderers Stadium: 26 matches, 14 wins

Afghanistan’s recent achievement came at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium, where they secured their 20th T20I win in just 29 matches, making them the second full-member nation in the world to achieve 20 wins at a single venue in T20 cricket.
