A man has claimed that he is still owed Tk 800 by Hasnat Abdullah, according to a video that has recently circulated widely on social media.
In the viral video, the individual alleges that he had previously operated a vehicle service near a university campus and often interacted with Hasnat Abdullah. Recounting those encounters, he states: “I am still owed money by Hasnat Abdullah—Tk 800. I used to sit with my vehicle at the university. He would come and say, ‘Brother, buy me tea,’ or ‘Uncle, buy me tea,’ and I would pay for it.”
The man further makes a series of accusations against Hasnat Abdullah. In the footage, he claims that on 5 August, Hasnat Abdullah allegedly took sacks from the residence of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. No evidence supporting this allegation is presented in the video.
Continuing his remarks, the man says that the same person now delivers speeches in parliament and makes grand statements despite, in his view, having engaged in wrongdoing. He further alleges that individuals he describes as “thieves” are sitting in parliament and that a place he regards as sacred has been tarnished.
The video has gained attention across social media platforms, where clips of the man’s comments have been shared and discussed. However, the footage itself contains only the man’s personal claims and allegations. No independent verification, documentary evidence, or official response from Hasnat Abdullah is included in the video.
