The Insurance Development and Regulatory Authority (IDRA) has officially announced an invitation for applications from qualified individuals and firms to be listed as Chartered Secretaries. Interested candidates are required to submit their completed applications, accompanied by all supporting documents, to the Authority’s office no later than 5:00 pm on 25 January. The application process commenced on 5 January and will remain open until the specified deadline.
According to the notification issued by IDRA, listed Chartered Secretaries or firms will be entrusted with critical responsibilities related to secretarial compliance, corporate governance, independent scrutiny, and other tasks as assigned by the Authority. Appointees will play a pivotal role in ensuring transparency, accountability, and adherence to professional standards across the insurance sector. The scope of duties and authority for each appointment will be clearly defined during the selection process.
The Authority has outlined the following qualifications and experience for applicants:

Successful appointees will have the responsibility of upholding high standards of governance and transparency within the insurance sector.
