Massive Drug Bust in Gazipur Joint Operation

In a significant anti-narcotics operation in Gazipur’s Joydebpur area, law enforcement authorities successfully apprehended a major drug dealer, Mohammad Al Amin Hossain, along with a substantial quantity of yaba tablets and cash. The operation was conducted jointly by the local police and Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) forces.

According to official sources, Al Amin was arrested on Tuesday, 10 March, from the Noyanpur area near Rajendrapur Cantonment. The operation was meticulously planned based on prior intelligence, aiming to curb the distribution of illegal substances in the district.

Al Amin, a resident of Fawgan Bonkuria village under Shreepur Police Station, is the son of the late Nurul Islam. Authorities have stated that he has been involved in drug trafficking in the region for an extended period, supplying yaba to various local networks.

Joydebpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC), Tariqul Islam, confirmed the details of the arrest, saying:

“During a late-night special operation, our joint forces raided Al Amin’s residence in Baratia and seized 3,755 yaba tablets along with cash amounting to BDT 511,460. This operation reflects our commitment to dismantling drug networks in the area.”
